I loved reading this. Glad I saw this on my timeline. I have struggled with the very same thing my whole life, rushing into things, trying to do everything quickly. I walk very fast as well haha. But lately I am trying to slow down in life, and take a breath. I have also started to try to brush my teeth slowly and try not to be in survival mode all the time. Very interesting! I struggle with patience sometimes cos I feel like I'm in waiting mode, and it can be all encompassing. E.g. waiting to hear back from that job interview but just sitting around instead of still applying. On the flip side, I might be trying to develop a new friendship but if it's not moving as quick as I like, I might look elsewhere but then things can pile up that way too.
The Take That song of the same name is very relevant. π
Yesss! I think being patient but equally not exactly waiting is a hard balance. I've tried to have the mindset of "Okay I want this, this would be great, but equally sitting here waiting won't change the outcome so I may as well focus on my blog and what I'm trying to build in the meantime"
It's harder when it's something that I know full well is in my control but I'm in a weird state of paralysis where I'm frozen - I know I could do something about it but I'm just putting it off for no particular reason other than it just being easier.
Please tell me that's not the only Take That song you know!
